Just as my workload started to ease up a little my whole house got sick with the flu. Chad had it at the beginning of last week and he wasn't as sick as the rest of us. Lindsey started with it on Wednesday and since then all she has done is sleep, cry and nurse. Thank goodness she's still nursing because she hasn't eaten since Wednesday. Friday night I started feeling it come on and then Saturday Kaelyn started complaining that her whole body hurt. We've been in bed all weekend except for the trip to the dr. this morning. They have a convenient Monday morning walk in appointments for sick kids so we got there at 8am and didn't have to wait. The dr. confirmed the flu and Kaelyn also has an ear infection. By the time we left my head was spinning and I thought I would keel over. We go through spells of being chilly and burning up. Chad's been administering the meds and taking care of us but tomorrow he goes back to work. I sure do hope I feel better because I'm not sure how I'll care for us. Oh, and my mom has it too. She's been in bed all weekend.

I'm so busy with work but I'll get through it. My mom has been watching the kids and Chad has been my file/fax/errand guy. He's been a big help holding the house together. Lindsey is growing so fast. She's just starting to say words. Her vocabulary includes.

Da (for Chad)
Mama
Sis (for Kaelyn)
Eyes
Hi
Bye
Boobah

There might be a few others that I'm forgetting.

Kaelyn wants to take ice skating lessons. The class is 6 weeks long. I'm undecided and haven't signed her up yet because I don't want her overscheduled. Currently she's doing gymnastics on Monday afternoon and she has an afterschool program on Wednesdays. In April (or May) she'll start softball and in the summer she also has track. Normally Chad would take her ice skating on the pond but it hasn't been cold enough this winter so they haven't been. Maybe I can convince Chad just to take her to public skating at the rink.
